West ham have inquired about Jesse Lingard as they look to sign him on loan for the rest of the season.

Jesse Lingard has had a bad run of form which has led to him struggling to get game time under the current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

He has only featured in two Carabao victories and the FA tie against Watford that ended in a 1-0 win to Manchester United.

He has not featured in any premier league matches, and this has sparked the interest of his potential exit from his boyhood club.

Manchester United had triggered his one-year contract extension that would see his contract end in the summer of 2022.

The arrival of Amad Diallo for a fee of €37m from Atalanta this January has also cemented his time out of the first team as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to introduce the talented youngster to the first-team action.

Jesse Lingard’s representatives have held talks with other clubs, but Manchester United have been reluctant to allow him to leave the club.

With the January transfer window about to shut, Manchester United have eased their stance and are open to loaning him out for the rest of the season.

Clubs like West Brom, Nice, Real Sociedad, and Sheffield United have also asked about getting his services for the rest of the season.

However, Westham United appear to be the favourites to get Jesse Lingard’s signature as he is keen on staying in the premier league.

The 28-year-old will look to spark life into his career again with this move, as he would have regular first-team action.

Westham are also looking to strengthen their squad in a hope of challenging and breaking into the top half of the premier league table.

Jesse Lingard will be reunited with former Manchester United manager David Moyes if the deal is completed soon.
