Brazil’s superstar, Neymar, will miss PSG’s Champions League game with Barcelona due to a groin injury.
A scan conducted earlier today confirmed the injury. According to L’Equipe, Neymar was seen looking dark and sad while leaving the L’hospital Americain this afternoon.
PSG confirmed this information on the club’s website, saying Neymar may be sidelined for the next four weeks.
According to Neymar’s companions at the hospital, the ultrasound conducted confirmed a grade two tear that might force him not to play in weeks.
PSG coach, Mauricio Pochettino, will be forced to shuffle his options in the attacking positions as they plan to face Barcelona in their first-leg Champions League round of 16.
Neymar to miss 1st leg clash against Barca
All attention will now turn to Kylian Mbappe with Neymar’s injury confirmed. The Frenchman has also struggled with injuries this season, but he is in good form.
The French giants will face the Catalonians on 10th March in the second leg of the Champions League. Pochettino hopes Neymar would have recovered from the groin injury by that time when they face Barca.
Mbappe is currently in goalscoring form as he scored in their game against Marseille last weekend. He will be the star fans will be looking at in the coming weeks.
