Mason Greenwood has extended his contract with Manchester United up to 2025. Greenwood has been one of Man Utd’s academy graduates having joined the club at age 7.

Although only 19 years of age, he is the youngest Manchester United player to score in European competitions.

He has also made an impressive 82 appearances for the club. Greenwood made his debut in the exciting thriller at Parc des Princes.

Manchester United came back from a 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford to knock Paris Saint Germain out of the champions league in Paris with a 3-1 victory and advanced through away goals.

Greenwood has scored over 21 goals since then, and he is regarded as one of the best finishers in the league.

His ability to use both his feet has made him a menace for most defence.

In his interview, Mason Greenwood said:

” When you join a club at 7 years old you just dream of playing for the first team one day. I’ve worked hard to reach this level and the last two years have been amazing. There is so much I want to achieve in this game and I know this is the perfect environment for me to play football.

With the support from my manager and his coaching staff and so many great players to learn from, I know that I am developing every single day. There is a lot more to come from myself and this team and I am so committed and working hard week in week out to help the group achieve success.

I want to repay the club for the support that everyone has given me over the years and show everyone just what I am capable of.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjær heaped praise on the young lad. He said, “Mason is a fantastic talent and yet another fine example of the type of players our academy produces.”

Mason Greenwood will now be at the club until 2025 and will hope for a successful Manchester United career.
