Bruno Fernandes reluctant to pen new Manchester United deal

Bruno Fernandes is reluctant to signing a new contract with Manchester United as he wants certain assurances.

His key concern is about the club’s plan in the next transfer market, now that some players intend to leave.

According to the Sun, the midfielder earns £100,000 a week, and signing a new contract will see him get double the amount.

The 26-year-old is undoubtedly United’s best player. Signing Bruno Fernandes is the best move United ever did in recent transfers.

Bruno wants an assurance that the club will bring in more quality players to improve the team, with Edinson Cavani intending to leave.

The Portuguese player joined United for £55million in the January transfer window last year. His arrival at the club has since brought a huge impact.

He is a regular starter for Man Utd but among the lowest-paid players, earning only £100,000-a-week. He signed a 5½-year deal with an option to extend with a year.

David De Gea is Man Utd’s top earner getting £375,000 a week followed by Paul Pogba, who pockets £290,000.

United are ready to double Bruno Fernandes’s wages and boost it with add ons.

In other transfer news, Edinson Cavani is likely to leave Old Trafford soon, as his father insists he is not comfortable in England.

“My son does not feel comfortable in England and wants to be close to the family again. He was very bothered by the sanction.” Said Luiz Cavani.

He said this following Cavani’s ban after he used the word “negrito” on Twitter. Moreover, the Uruguayan was ordered to undergo a face-to-face education and fined £100,000.

Reports claim that the former PSG forward will join the Argentine side Boca Juniors.

In an interview, his father said:
“I want Edinson to play in a team that fights for something important. My son’s idea is not to continue here.”

Liverpool are preparing a late £45 million bid for Porto striker Luis Diaz, who is also being pursued by Tottenham.

The Colombian winger was Jurgen Klopp’s first option for the summer transfer window, but due to Spurs’ significant interest, Liverpool have hastened their preparations.

Liverpool is thought to be proposing an initial £37 million, plus bonuses, which will only be activated if Diaz is a major success at Anfield.

Tottenham has been in discussions with Porto over Diaz, reportedly willing to spend up to £46 million for the player.

Spurs are reportedly willing to pay £37.6 million upfront for Diaz, with an extra £8.4 million in performance-related add-ons, according to reports in Portugal.

Spurs have already appeared to miss out on Wolves attacker Adama Traore, who appears poised to return to Barca on loan, and missing out on Luiz would be another major blow this month.

It is unclear whether Diaz will move to Anfield this month or wait till the end of the season. In 18 outings for his current club this season, he has managed to score 14 goals.

Sky Sports reporter Vinny O’Connor:

“Obviously, it’s far from done and could easily come to nothing.

“However, Liverpool view this as an excellent deal if it gets completed – very much close to a Diogo Jota-type fee. Also, it is far better value than the original €60m asking price.

“Diaz was Jurgen Klopp’s first choice for the summer, but they have brought those plans forward because it was clear if Liverpool didn’t act this window, the player would move on.

“This isn’t done and could yet collapse – the player is in Argentina with his national team, so it will be far from straightforward to complete the deal.

“However, if it does get done, it’s a big coup for Julian Ward, who is to succeed sporting director Michael Edwards in the summer. It was a deal in which Ward lead for the first time, but it is fair to say he’s been supported strongly by Edwards who put together the strategy to secure the player this month.”

After suffering injuries in the last week, Everton midfielders Abdoulaye Doucoure and Fabian Delph will both be out for at least four weeks.

The injury to Doucoure occurred in the second half of Everton’s 1-0 loss to Aston Villa on Saturday, while the injury to Delph occurred in training.

Duncan Ferguson, the interim manager, suddenly has a scarcity of fit midfield players, with Tom Davies also sidelined for a prolonged period.

Allan, Andre Gomes, and Jean-Philippe Gbamin, as well as Tyler Onyango, are available.

An Everton statement read: “Everton midfielders Abdoulaye Doucoure and Fabian Delph are expected to be out for a minimum of four weeks after sustaining injuries.

“Frenchman Doucoure was forced off in the 65th minute of Saturday’s Premier League match against Aston Villa at Goodison Park due to a groin problem.

“Subsequent tests have revealed the 29-year-old requires a period of rehabilitation under the care of Everton’s medical staff at USM Finch Farm.

“Meanwhile, Delph sustained a thigh injury during a training session this week and is now undergoing treatment with the club’s medical team.”

According to BILD, Crysensio Summerville wants to join Hamburg SV, but Marcelo Bielsa prefers the winger to continue at Leeds United.

Hamburg have the funds to invest on new players this month, according to the German media, and Summerville, 20, has signaled to club officials that he would be interested in a loan move to the 2.Bundesliga team.

However, it is claimed that Bielsa is hesitant to loan Summerville out owing to Leeds’ injury problems.

Leeds’ injury issue has hopefully reached its apex, thus we don’t see why Bielsa can’t allow Summerville’s loan request.

Summerville has made eight appearances for the first team this campaign, but has been left out of Bielsa’s last two Premier League matchday rosters.

Bielsa has a lot of wingers, so loaning Summerville out may be the ideal choice in the long run. The fans don’t want a situation where the Dutchman stays at Elland Road and then doesn’t play for the rest of the campaign.

He will be dissatisfied, thus we believe Bielsa would be prudent to enable Summerville to sign for Hamburg on loan.
