Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is said to have organized an emergency meeting of Premier League captains to discuss the response to the European Super League proposal.

Liverpool were joined by their rivals Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Arsenal in announcing yesterday that they will be joining a new breakaway competition alongside Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Juventus.

However, the idea has sparked widespread opposition, and it now appears that Henderson will consult with other Premier League captains to consider the best course of action, according to Mike Keegan…

One has to question if those in power didn’t realize how powerful the opposition would be to these plans, and it’s also possible that they won’t go through with it.
