Chelsea are preparing a bid to re-sign Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku this summer.

The team’s board is worried about Timo Werner’s performances. The German forward has failed to impress at Stamford Bridge since joining.

The Blues seem prepared to boost their attacking options by bringing back Romelu Lukaku. According to the Sun, the club is ready to offer Inter around £90million to sign the Belgian.

The report indicates that signing Romelu is achievable for Chelsea, even though Dortmund’s striker Erling Haaland is also on their list.

Lukaku is in fine form and hopes to lead Inter to win the Serie A title this season.

The Belgian was successful in the Premier League, and it will therefore not be a surprise to see him back in the League.

Lukaku began his career at Chelsea but is best known for his outstanding results for Everton, which led to a major move to Manchester United in 2017.

Lukaku’s time at Old Trafford didn’t go as planned, and he may feel he has something to prove in England because he never really got a chance at Chelsea earlier in his career.
