Predicted Leeds United line-up for Southampton with Cooper, Roberts and Rodrigo decision

Based on his pre-match press conference, Marcelo Bielsa will be forced to make at least one change with his Leeds United line-up tonight.

Mateusz Klich had been granted permission to finish his season a week early due to the upcoming European Championships with Poland, according to the head coach.

Since Southampton uses two forwards, the Whites’ formation on Saturday should remain unchanged, with the central position up for grabs in Klich’s absence.

Liam Cooper, Tyler Roberts, and Rodrigo all seem to be the most likely ones to make the starting XI.

Anything more than one improvement seems improbable, given how dominant the overwhelming majority of the team was in the 4-0 thrashing at Turf Moor.

Diego Llorente, Cooper, and Pascal Struijk made up the back three in the first match against the Saints. Given the 3-0 victory, Bielsa could be tempted to use the same lineup again.

Cooper’s return would force Luke Ayling to play as a winger, with Stuart Dallas moving to the center as the ball carrier.

Tyler Roberts started in the first game against Southampton in the central advanced position, indicating that he could return.

Rodrigo, despite his resurgence on Saturday, is the least likely to start due to his proclivity for getting forward and even beyond Patrick Bamford in attack.

Bielsa: I’ll talk about my future in the summer

Predicted Leeds United line-up: Meslier; Llorente, Cooper, Struijk; Ayling, Phillips, Alioski; Dallas; Raphinha, Bamford, Harrison.
