Following the appointment of David Moyes and their survival of a relegation battle last season, the Hammers have found themselves in a surprise battle for a place in the Champions League this season.
The club is now in sixth place, with a chance to qualify for the Europa League if they win or draw their final game of the season against Southampton. However, one West Ham fan has been left frustrated by Moyes’ inability to keep his team in the top four.
“Moyes has got manager of the year, but in the end, we’ve come nowhere near fourth,” Hammers fan George told talkSPORT.
“In the end, we’re going to finish sixth or seventh, which Burnley done a few years ago. It’s nothing special.”
West Ham are four points behind the leaders and have already surpassed their previous peak of 62 Premier League points. George, on the other hand, believes that, with Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham all failing, West Ham squandered a golden opportunity.
When asked if he wanted Moyes out before the start of the next season, the Hammers supporter said:
“He’s done OK this season, but a Rodgers or a Parker would do us a lot better than what he’s done.”
West Ham will finish sixth in the Premier League this season if they can earn a point against Southampton at home, or if they lose but Tottenham and Everton fail to win.
