Leeds United huge favourites to land £15m-rated star, Whites keen on goal-scoring midfielder

When the summer transfer market begins later this week, Leeds United will have a busy couple of months as they attempt to bring in some high-quality new signings.

Last season, the Whites spent about £100 million on new players, and it will be interesting to watch who arrives at Elland Road for the 2021/22 season.

Meanwhile, Paraag Marathe, a member of the Leeds board of directors, has been contemplating the future of the club’s football stadium. He said:

“We do want to modernise the stadium.

“There’s the ability and capacity to increase it to 50,000-plus because the top Premier League clubs, that’s what they do have. Certainly, we have the demand.

“There’s also something really menacing about this environment for opposing team players. What we don’t want to do is renovate this into some sterile environment where you don’t have that. There’s magic out there on the pitch in this stadium and we want to keep that.”

Meanwhile, Whites star midfielder Kalvin Phillips started and played 45 minutes for England against Romania in their final Euro 2020 warm-up match last night, before being replaced in the second half by Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson.

The Three Lions now have just less than a week to prepare for their tournament opener against Croatia, which will take place this Sunday at Wembley Stadium.
