According to reports, West Ham United manager David Moyes is on the verge of signing a new deal.

The Scot will now sign the new three-year contract that West Ham fans thought to be a formality following the final game of the season, according to The Telegraph.

West Ham fans were initially dismissive of Moyes’ decision to return to his old club Everton to fill the vacant manager’s position.

However, as time passed with no communication from West Ham, many feared that Moyes would be enticed back to Goodison Park by Everton’s big-spending owners.

Even great news for West Ham fans: it appears that Moyes has signed a contract after gaining assurances on transfers and recruitment.

West Ham’s recruitment needs to be entirely reworked, according to Moyes, who stated as recently as the end of the season in an in-depth interview with The Daily Mail.

There had been speculations that Moyes would not sign his contract until West Ham’s owners, David Sullivan and David Gold, agreed to his demands and backed him in the summer transfer window.

According to different sources, West Ham’s owners will comply with Moyes’ intentions by supporting him on both fronts.

Meanwhile, Sullivan and Gold have agreed to join Moyes’ new-look backroom squad, with Billy McKinlay resuming his role as one of the manager’s day-to-day assistant coaches, replacing Alan Irvine.

According to the Mail, Moyes will be supported in his pursuit of Tammy Abraham, the Chelsea forward, and a permanent move for Jesse Lingard.

The proposed agreement, according to West Ham insider ExWHUemployee, means the club can now formally work on transfers.

Fans will now want the manager who guided them to their best Premier League points total and into the Europa League to be granted the signings he desires this summer.
