Leicester City have made their first summer signing, with Patson Daka set to join the club on Thursday.

The striker will join City from RB Salzburg for an initial fee of £23 million.

Last Friday, Daka confirmed his move to the King Power Stadium, telling Austrian media that he was finally living his Premier League dream.

The 22-year-old will join the club on a five-year deal, giving Brendan Rodgers the extra goal threat he craves.

Patson Daka understands what it’s like to win trophies, and he believes Leicester City is best positioned to assist him in adding to his trophy cabinet.

The attacker joined City for £23 million from RB Salzburg, where he had a successful career. Daka won four league titles and three cups in four years in Austria.

Daka is perceptive. City, too, has a winning mindset and is ready to assist the club in winning trophies.

“I’m so, so excited to be able to be part of this great, historic club,” he told LCFC TV from Salzburg. “It has been my dream and I’m so happy and excited.

Domenico Berardi links

Domenico Berardi of Sassuolo has once again been linked with a summer move to Leicester City.

With just Harvey Barnes and Marc Albrighton as natural widemen at the club, the Foxes may look to sign a winger this summer, though Ricardo Pereira could be pushed into a more advanced role.

In addition, Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali has confirmed that winger Domenico Berardi has received ‘offers’ from abroad, despite Leicester City’s interest. Read more
