Man Utd target Eduardo Camavinga drops transfer hint after Jadon Sancho deal agreed

Eduardo Camavinga, another Man United target, has ‘liked’ a post about Jadon Sancho’s arrival to Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad is interested in both players. And, following a contract with Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night, a deal for the latter is expected to be finalized soon.

Sancho will cost Manchester United approximately £72 million.

And it’s fantastic news for the Red Devils, who were quoted a fee of £108 million a year ago.

Camavinga, another star on the club’s radar, might now join Sancho at the club.

And the Frenchman has hinted that he is impressed by the club’s operations by ‘liking’ a post about Sancho on social media.

The news was conveyed by 433, and Camavinga provided his verdict without saying anything, implying that he approves of the development.

Of course, it’s possible that the Rennes youngster is simply pleased to see such an exciting move go through.

However, with the 18-year-old on United’s radar, it wouldn’t be surprising if he followed Sancho to Manchester United this summer.

United’s transfer market business isn’t over yet, with the Glazers aware that they’ll need more recruits if they’re to win the Premier League.

Sancho is a good start, and Camavinga would be a great addition as well.

However, as they seek title success next season, the club is also looking for reinforcements at centre-back and right-back.

Meanwhile, this how Rio Ferdinand reacted to United’s deal with Sancho:

“On the right hand side, and the left hand side, we haven’t got a winger who goes on the outside. Who goes on the outside, and can cross the ball.

“That’s what you need. He can go both ways, plays with both feet, and on that right wing, as well as Mason’s done, and I’m a massive Mason Greenwood fan, out there, having a winger.

“This is Man United, always associate yourselves with wingers, always have done over the years. In our most successful times, there’s always been wide players who can go out there and cross the ball.

“Mason, he comes inside, he wants goals. It’s a good element, it’s an important aspect, but Jadon will give you both options, and for a full-back, terrible news.

“That’s the beautiful thing about him, the game doesn’t quicken up in his mind.

“He gets into those fast situations where for a lot of players it becomes hazy. His is a clear picture still, running at full speed or not. He sees it in pure HD.

“That’s the element he’s going to bring, and the element of going out on the outside, beating the full-back and crossing it.

“Then you’ve got Mason Greenwood, Cavani, Rashford coming in from the other side. We should be getting more goals from those scenarios next season to add to the attacking variety.”

Scott Arfield has been a vital part of the Rangers team since joining in 2018, and his current form, especially after van Bronckhorst took charge, is nothing short of exemplary.

The 33-year old Scottish-Canadian’s display is on a high now, and he recently helped his side’s win against Livingston with his “unbelievable” (according to Richard Foster) 75th minute goal.

He is a must-keep, but according to transfermarkt, the reigning Scottish champions risk losing him and other senior team members, including Steven Davis and Allan McGregor, in the summer following contract expiry.

The Mirror’s print edition reported that the Gers fear letting their No. 37 go in exchange for nothing, given that USA clubs have their sights set on the midfielder, and his contract is only months away from expiry.

Money included or not, Scott’s departure could be a big blow come next season since he now practically determines Rangers’ performance (the one time he didn’t play after Gerrard’s exit is the only time Rangers dropped points.)

Hopefully, Rangers will consider holding talks to fight for the former Huddersfield Town’s contract extension, and he (Scott) is willing to stay in Scotland and at Ibrox, otherwise the double loss in terms of money and talent could hugely affect the Gers next season.

Liverpool are preparing a late £45 million bid for Porto striker Luis Diaz, who is also being pursued by Tottenham.

The Colombian winger was Jurgen Klopp’s first option for the summer transfer window, but due to Spurs’ significant interest, Liverpool have hastened their preparations.

Liverpool is thought to be proposing an initial £37 million, plus bonuses, which will only be activated if Diaz is a major success at Anfield.

Tottenham has been in discussions with Porto over Diaz, reportedly willing to spend up to £46 million for the player.

Spurs are reportedly willing to pay £37.6 million upfront for Diaz, with an extra £8.4 million in performance-related add-ons, according to reports in Portugal.

Spurs have already appeared to miss out on Wolves attacker Adama Traore, who appears poised to return to Barca on loan, and missing out on Luiz would be another major blow this month.

It is unclear whether Diaz will move to Anfield this month or wait till the end of the season. In 18 outings for his current club this season, he has managed to score 14 goals.

Sky Sports reporter Vinny O’Connor:

“Obviously, it’s far from done and could easily come to nothing.

“However, Liverpool view this as an excellent deal if it gets completed – very much close to a Diogo Jota-type fee. Also, it is far better value than the original €60m asking price.

“Diaz was Jurgen Klopp’s first choice for the summer, but they have brought those plans forward because it was clear if Liverpool didn’t act this window, the player would move on.

“This isn’t done and could yet collapse – the player is in Argentina with his national team, so it will be far from straightforward to complete the deal.

“However, if it does get done, it’s a big coup for Julian Ward, who is to succeed sporting director Michael Edwards in the summer. It was a deal in which Ward lead for the first time, but it is fair to say he’s been supported strongly by Edwards who put together the strategy to secure the player this month.”
