According to a report in Germany, Chelsea FC manager Thomas Tuchel wants the Blues to sign Erling Haaland as soon as possible during the current transfer window.
Tuchel is reportedly keen for Chelsea FC to finalize a deal for Haaland before the start of the 2021-22 Premier League campaign, according to Bild.
According to the same report, Chelsea FC is willing to pay €175 million (£150 million) to make Haaland the world’s second-most expensive signing, behind PSG sensation Neymar.
Manchester City and Real Madrid are also reportedly competing for the striker’s signature.
Haaland’s career at Borussia Dortmund could be jeopardized due to Jadon Sancho’s impending transfer to Manchester United.
Despite having a (£65m) €75m contract release clause that will come into play next summer, Borussia Dortmund are aiming to keep the 20-year-old’s services for the upcoming Bundesliga season, according to Bild.
In 28 appearances in the Bundesliga last season, Haaland scored 27 goals and provided six assists.
In his career, the Norway international has 126 goals in 170 appearances for Bryne, Molde, Red Bull Salzburg, and Borussia Dortmund in all competitions.
