Manchester City have expressed great interest in England international Grealish, with the Premier League winners indicating that they will make an official offer after Euro 2020.

Villa, on the other hand, are adamant about keeping their star, and last month began talks with his representatives about a new, better agreement.

Grealish is presently on break after his summer achievements with England, and things are likely to pick up when he returns to Bodymoor Heath for pre-season preparation.

Last year in September, the 25-year-old agreed to a five-year contract worth roughly £125,000 per week, but Villa are willing to pay him a hefty raise if he agrees to return.

With the next Premier League campaign less than a month away, Villa will intensify their efforts to bolster their attacking ranks.

Emi Buendia, the new £33 million record signing, reported for his first day of training on Monday. Argentina winger Julian Alvarez has also been linked with Villa.
