Man United edging closer to deal for Real Madrid defender Varane

According to a report in England, Manchester United is getting closer to signing Raphael Varane from Real Madrid this summer.

Varane is presently on vacation, according to the Manchester Evening News, but United are still trying hard to recruit the Frenchman ahead of the new campaign.

United are “inching closer every day” to an agreement to sign the World Cup winner this summer, according to the same report.

After early talks over personal terms, the 28-year-old believes he will be donning a Manchester United jersey next season.

Manchester United might conclude a deal to recruit Varane by the end o this month, according to the source, to reinforce Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s defence in preparation for the 2021-22 campaign.

The Real Madrid defender could return to Manchester instead of Madrid when his vacation ends, according to the Manchester Evening News, to finalize an agreement with the Red Devils.

Man Utd are optimistic in their ability to sign Varane for a “good price,” according to the media outlet.
