West Ham United and Manchester United are reportedly discussing a possible swap deal involving Jesse Lingard and Declan Rice, according to an English report.

According to the Daily Mirror, West Ham have not given up on the possibility of retaining the services of Lingard, who had a beneficial impact on the team last season on loan at the club.

The same story reports that Manchester United’s unwillingness to part with a transfer fee has made it difficult for the Hammers to agree on a deal to recruit Lingard on a permanent basis.

The story goes on to state that Lingard is not expected to have a huge impact on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team if he remains at Manchester United this season.

The Daily Mirror continue to inform the public that the 28-year-old is ready to try to force a transfer, and Manchester United wants to lessen the costs associated with paying him.

Man United are reportedly still interested in signing a new holding midfielder to replace Matic, according to the same report.

Manchester United have been keeping an eye on West Ham’s £100 million-rated Declan Rice, who is thought to be dissatisfied with the price tag.

The Daily Mirror also reported that Manchester City and Chelsea FC are interested in Rice, but the advantage lies with Manchester United since they can include Lingard in the deal.
