Celtic Football Club supporters have taken to Twitter to wage a war against manager Ange Postecoglou based on his latest comments over players’ injury updates.
The Scottish Premiership bigwigs are now winless in their previous two SPFL fixtures.
Celtic lost 1-0 to Livingston, then followed with a 1-1 draw against Dundee United at home.
The chain of mixed results has placed them six points off the top of the league table.
Celtic’s focus now shifts to Thursday’s Europa League, where they are winless after one round.
The Scottish giants will play host to German outfit Bayer Leverkusen in Glasgow.
However, the side could continue to record unconvincing outcomes owing to nagging injuries among key players.
Ange has confirmed that right back Josip Juranovic is set to be sidelined for a couple of weeks occasioned by a hamstring injury.
Callum McGregor and Kyogo Furuhashi will not be used on Thursday as he continues to race against time to full recovery.
The bad news has left the Celtic fan base fuming;
“I understand the importance of reasonable criticism of Ange based on mistakes he’s made but we are suffering from truly abysmal luck made worse due to the paper-thin state the board have left our squad in.”
“We are finished”
“Never seen anything like it regarding injuries, 9 injuries in a small squad is exactly the nightmare we were dreading”
“Bad news upon bad news”
“Horrendous… dropping like flies.”
Celtic’s opening game of the group stages was away to Real Betis and lost 4:3 after bottling a 2:0 lead against the Spanish side.
Meanwhile, it will be a tricky affair for Celtic against a German club that has only lost once this season, going down 4-3 to Borussia Dortmund.
They are placed second behind leaders Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga standings.
