Iddrisu Baba, a 25-year-old Ghanaian midfielder, may move to the English Premier League when the transfer window opens in January, according to Fichajes.net.
The versatile player, who can influence both attack and defence, has made a great mark in Spanish top flight with his current team, RCD Mallorca, and the Toffees are reportedly eyeing him.
Rafa Benitez’s side is reportedly impressed with Baba’s capabilities and want to get him to Goodison Park when the transfer window opens in January, as the Ghana International “has qualities to succeed in the Premier League.”
Baba, whose goal earned his side a draw against Cadiz FC, is said to not be opposed to an England move as he thinks that playing there (England) is “attractive”, and he wouldn’t despise the chance if Everton gave it to him.
The toffees are currently chasing a European spot for next year, and getting a player that fits their profile and needs will be a priority. They will have to part with quite some money to get Iddrisu though, as stated by Fichajes.net.
With the interest Everton have in him, coupled with the fact the former Leganes B midfielder isn’t against a shift to Everton, we will most probably see him at Goodison Park come January.
