Celtic positive to sign Daniel Mandroiu on an unknown fee

Ange Postecoglou has been at Celtic for barely half a year, but his work and the changes he has brought to the Hoops are evident for all to see. Celtic stand second in the league table, behind Rangers, who have just lost a coach, and Angie is keen to sharpen his squad more when the transfer window opens in January.

According to Vital Celtic, the Celts’ board is in line with Postecoglou’s organized transfer as they support the Australian manager’s move to have a few additions at Celtic Park in early January.

The first possible signing for Celtic is Shamrock Rovers’ attacking midfielder, Daniel Mandroiu, whom Angie has reportedly been eyeing since the summer transfers. The 23-year old Irish is currently in super form, having scored 15 goals in 31 appearances for the most successful men’s football club in the Republic of Ireland.

Danny, who has been called up to the Irish national team, will most likely be Angie’s first signing of the winter transfer, though the two sides have yet to agree on a transfer fee, despite The Sun’s reported talks.

The ex-Brighton trainee whose superb form helped Shamrock Rovers retain their League title still has one year left before his contract ends, and Postecoglou’s side might have to part with quite some amount if Mandroiu is to join former teammate Liam Scales at Celtic Park.
