West Ham star will undergo scan today, another player could miss out

According to Claret and Hugh, West Ham player Kurt Zouma will undergo a scan on Monday to determine the extent of his ankle injury.

Early in the first half against Brentford, an ankle injury forced the centre-back out of the match.

Reports claim that his involvement in the Europa League matchup against Lyon on Thursday is 50/50.

West Ham’s preparation for Thursday’s game against Lyon is less than ideal.

The first leg was a 1-1 draw for the Hammers at home, and a victory in France would guarantee them a place in the Europa League semifinals.

On Sunday, the Hammers were beaten 2-0 by Brentford in the Premier League and failed to capitalise on Manchester United and Arsenal’s loss of points this week.

The absence of Zouma in the Lyon match will be a significant one. He has proven to be a capable defender when called upon.

After being sent off in the first leg, Aaron Cresswell will miss Thursday’s game. Moyes may be forced to reorganise his squad at the back if Johnson is unable to play.

With Ryan Fredericks on the right and Arthur Masuaku on the left, Vladimir Coufal and Ryan Fredericks can play in the left-back positions.
