Conte shows Pierluigi Gollini exit door

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conten has reportedly told Pierluigi Gollini to leave the English Premier League club at the end of the summer. 

According to the Sun, the former Inter Milan coach has informed the 27-year-old goalkeeper that there is no place for him at Spurs next season, hence allowing him to find a new team.

The Italian tactician is instead believed to be planning for the signing of a new shot-stopper  as a back-up to first team keeper  Hugo Lloris.

Conte is said to be interested in the signature of West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, who is out of contract at the club this summer.

 Pierluigi Gollini signed for Tottenham Hotspur on loan in the summer of 2021 from Italian Serie A side Atalanta. Hehas,s however, failed to impress atSpurs,s with Conte keen on dropping him.

The Italian international featured for Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup thrice; he also made one appearance in the FA Cup and four in the UEFA Conference League this campaign.

Gollini struggled for game time in the Premier League this season as he recorded zero appearances for Spurs. 

Tottenham are assured of a place in European football next season, and so Antonio Conte will most likely bolster his squad for the imminent competitions.
