After Everton beat the odds and stayed up last season, there are a lot of different stories coming out of Goodison Park.

Ranging from goalkeeper Jordan Pickford’s ability to lead to Brazilian ace Richarlson being charged by the English FA, a lot is happening under Frank Lampard’s coaching charges;

“I was in good form [during the 2021/22 season]. I think my consistency levels over the past 18 months have been quite good and I’m really happy with it. I just want to keep getting better and better.

“I’m 28 now, so I’m one of the more senior players and I’ve got a few caps for my country. You have to be a leader when you are a bit older and you have that experience. I think I am one of them now.” – Jordan Pickford has been talking about his role in the Everton side.

Everton FC assistant manager Paul Clement has been touching on the essence of having a good pre-season and coming up with a different system of play in the coming campaign.

“We really want a good pre-season, we went in in the middle of the season fighting fire, you don’t get to train how you want, implement ideas like you want, it was all about results as soon as possible.

“This [pre-season] will give us a little bit more time to instil the ideas the manager wants and we’ve got to improve in lots of areas.”

On the other hand, club forward Richarlison has been formally charged by the FA for picking up and throwing a firework onto the pitch during Everton’s 1-0 win against Chelsea in the fight for survival in the summer. The Brazilian star has one week to respond to the charges.

In the transfer market, reports say Everton are interested in Manchester United’s James Garner as well as Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon.

Everton are also reported to be monitoring the situation of Renne left back Adrian Truffert as a possible back-up for Vitalii Mykolenko.
