Rangers have refuted the claims of receiving an offer from Sevilla for striker Alfredo Morelos.
With only one year remaining on his contract at Ibrox, Morelos’ future hangs in the balance at Rangers with a final decision in regards to his next move yet to be made.
Rangers are reportedly preparing to renew the forward’s contract as they are also avoiding seeing him leave the Scottish Premiership as a free agent next summer.
While Morelos has been in discussion with the Glasgow-based club over his contract renewal, Spanish LaLiga outfit Sevilla have also been closely monitoring the situation of the striker.
Sevilla are claimed to have tabled an €8m bid for the signature of the Colombian international to move to LaLiga next season, claims that Gers have strongly rubbished.
Morelos has been a vital asset at Ibrox lately, with impressive performances both in Scottish and European football at large.
Having given the green light to part ways with Cedric Itten earlier this summer, Rangers are said to be looking for ways to have Morelos stay a little bit longer at the club.
