Chris Richards, the Bayern Munich defender, is expected to sign a five-year contract with Crystal Palace and move to the Premier League team in a deal that may be worth up to £17 million, according to BILD reporter Christian Falk on Twitter.

Crystal Palace are about to finalise a move for Omar Richards’ namesake after Nottingham Forest spent £8 million to bring the former Reading full-back back across the Atlantic.

A move to Selhurst Park has been verbally agreed upon by 22-year-old American international Chris Richards. Additionally, he is enthusiastic about the notion of trading the Bundesliga champions to South London.

Richards will reportedly sign a deal through the summer of 2027, according to Christian Falk, a reporter famous for his familiarity with everything occurring behind the scenes at Bayern.

The transfer fee has not yet been determined. Falk, however, thinks Crystal Palace may wind up shelling out as much as £17 million.

Richards, who was reportedly linked with a move to Leeds United, has already departed from Bayern’s preseason training facility.

He ought to go to Selhurst Park with Cormac Austin, Sam Johnstone, Cheick Doucoure, and Malcolm Ebiowei.
