Newcastle plot new bid for ‘really special’ premier league winger

As their chase of James Maddison remains quiet, Newcastle United may still be interested in Anthony Gordon and turn to the Everton winger.

The Magpies have been considering a range of options as they continue to explore options for attacking reinforcements.

Moussa Diaby and Leeds United star Jack Harrison share a similar fate in that they were both too pricey to wrest away from Bayer Leverkusen.

James Maddison is more of a playmaker that Newcastle have been considering, but because they were unable to buy him, they had to turn to wingers once more.

According to The Chronicle, Newcastle is currently mulling over a fresh strategy to lure Anthony Gordon away from Everton.

According to reports, Newcastle made a £35 million bid for Gordon earlier this summer, but Everton refused to sell.

To eventually entice Everton into a deal, Newcastle are prepared to make a new offer for Gordon.

By allowing Richarlison to sign with Tottenham Hotspur this summer, Everton have already sold one attacking player.

Although losing Gordon would be devastating, Everton needs to raise funds to reinvest in their own team, and Newcastle may suddenly be open to making a trade.

Last season, Gordon, 21, played in 35 Premier League matches and contributed to four goals and two assists.

That might not sound all that amazing, but Dean Ashton called Gordon “very special,” and many believe he has a bright career ahead of him.
