West Ham want £43m player to replace senior mainstay

According to a report from La Razon, West Ham is eager to sign Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou and the La Liga team would be open to negotiating a deal.

The Italian publication stated on their website on September 22 that the Hammers must make a compelling offer for the goalkeeper, who is 31 years old.

The club has extended Bono’s contract until 2025, and his release clause has increased to £43 million.

The club must determine what to do with the 37-year-old despite his excellent performance.

His contract expires at the end of the current campaign, but the Hammers can try to extend it by another year.

Having said that, Moyes acquired Alphonse Areola on a long-term basis from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. The French goalkeeper should now be aiming to secure his job by seeking out frequent starts.

However, Fabianski is still doing well, and the team has the money to keep him for another year. Goalkeepers can play for a longer period of time as long as they don’t significantly slow down, and Fabianski still has a lot to offer.

If the Hammers decide they need to bring in a new goalie, they should try to do it as soon as possible and preferably with Premier League experience.

Additionally, Bono’s price appears to be far too high. Sevilla will try to negotiate a price, but at that price point, there are undoubtedly better possibilities.
