Journalist Pete O’Rourke has tipped Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo to become a sensation should Celtic seal the deal for the striker to move to Celtic Park next season.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the renowned insider believes Ange Postecoglou’s side will benefit a lot in the acquisition of the 22-year-old after reports emerged that the Bhoys are keen on landing the Chelsea-born striker at Celtic Park.

The Scottish giants won a double in the recently concluded season and would like to extend their commendable run in the coming campaign with meaningful signings.

O’Rourke likened Antoine Semenyo to Celtic’s old boy, Moussa Dembele.

“He’s done well at Bristol City, whether he could have the same impact as Moussa Dembele had when he arrived from Fulham, that’s up for debate because Dembele was a real top signing for Celtic when they did get him,” he said.

Dembele previously left a legacy at Celtic under Brendan Rodgers, and the scribe believes Semenyo can follow in his footsteps.

“He showed that with his goals under Brendan Rodgers that helped them win so many trophies and also played in the Champions League as well. So, I think Semenyo does look a good player, and if Celtic could land him, I think it could be a good piece of business.”

Dembele scored 51 goals and 18 assists in 94 appearances for Celtic after arriving from Fulham in 2016. Semenyo is reported to cost Celtic an upward of £15 million.
