Another Rangers player to jet out within 24 hours as exit on verge – report

According to The Scottish Sun, Pendikspor, a newly promoted club in the Turkish Super Lig, have reached an agreement with Rangers to buy their forward Scott Wright for £500,000.

Wright was no longer needed at Ibrox as he fell behind in the competition for places after Michael Beale joined the club as a coach in November.

Wright had a poor season with Rangers, playing 21 times in all competitions but scoring no goals and making only one assist. He was in the starting line-up for just eight games.

He did not live up to the expectations that he had when he signed for Rangers from Aberdeen, where he had a good spell and scored eight goals in 84 games.

He will hope to revive his career in Turkey and Rangers will be happy to get some cash for him, even if it is not a lot.

His exit also gives Beale some more room in the budget to improve his team and make them ready to compete for the league title again.

£6m star is asking club chiefs to let him sign for Rangers but his manager is stalling

Rangers are still pursuing Feyenoord striker Danilo but the deal is being delayed by Arne Slot.

The Gers have already brought in three new attackers this summer with Abdallah Sima, Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers joining the club.

Antonio Colak has left for Parma, so Rangers need another forward.

The Daily Record claim that Rangers are working on a deal for Feyenoord’s Danilo.

They say that Feyenoord are asking for at least £6million for Danilo, but Rangers are not giving up.

James Bisgrove is leading the talks with Rangers hoping to reach an agreement.

They also report that Danilo is urging Feyenoord to let him leave – but it’s manager Arne Slot who is blocking the move.

Slot wants to sign more attackers before he lets Danilo go.

Feyenoord will play in the Champions League this season and losing Danilo would leave them with only Santiago Gimenez as a striker.

That means Rangers may have to wait to sign Danilo, which could be annoying.

Rangers often played in a 4-3-1-2 formation under Michael Beale last season.

That sometimes meant Ryan Kent playing behind Fashion Sakala and Alfredo Morelos.

Kent – a winger – has left Rangers this summer and the Gers have mostly signed central strikers.

Sima can play on the wing if needed and Lammers has played on the right before.

But Sima, Lammers, Dessers and Danilo would all rather play in the middle.

That means we could see the 4-3-1-2 formation again with Todd Cantwell or Lammers playing behind Danilo and Dessers.

That would be a very exciting attacking line-up for Rangers and Beale will be eager to get the go-ahead to sign Brazilian star Danilo.
