According to various sources in Italy, Arsenal has made an initial £17 million proposal for Lazio attacker Joaquin Correa. The Argentine international, who scored 11 goals in all competitions last season, is valued at closer to £30 million by the Italian club.
Everton is also reportedly interested in Correa, who can play as a second striker or on the side, but new Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri is thought to want to keep him, so the price will likely be too high for both clubs.
BARISIC A WANTED MAN
Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Wolves are all expected to see Rangers star Borna Barisic play for Croatia against England today, according to Football Insider. They apparently didn’t realize Barisic was out against England, but the speculations persist: Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Wolves are all said to be interested in the Rangers left-back, who was previously connected with Leeds.
‘The Premier League trio are all in the hunt for a new senior left-back this summer,’ according to the report, which may come as a surprise to Kierney and Matt Targett.
Some are portraying this as a new line from Mundo Deportivo, but the Spanish publication is just reporting that “in England, they point out that the “Foxes” could launch themselves for the signing of the Brazilian.” And they were simply reporting what Sport had said earlier in the week in England.
What did Sport have to say earlier this week? Leicester and Tottenham have both “left the door open” for Coutinho, who now had three Premier League options: Leicester, Spurs, and Arsenal. A fee of £17 million has been proposed, as well as the possibility of a loan.
