Atletico Madrid are reportedly pursuing Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga this summer.
The Englishman has struggled to get game time at Tottenham over the last few seasons, especially under Conte.
Tanganga may consider moving out of the club, with Antonio Conte spending heavily this summer to rebuild his squad.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Atletico Madrid are on the 23-year-old’s radar. He will almost certainly play first-team football for Atletico.
Tanganga made his Premier League start against Liverpool, bursting onto the scene. Following up on his stellar performance against Middlesbrough in the cup, the teenage defender produced another outstanding outing.
The 23-year-old’s future seemed promising but hasn’t progressed since then.
Tanganga’s versatility has piqued the attention of Spanish club Atletico Madrid. The product of the Tottenham academy can play centre-back, right-back, and even left-back.
Tanganga could be trained to start at right back in place of Kieran Trippier this summer, since Atletico hasn’t found a replacement for Trippier since he left for Newcastle in January.
