According to Dean Jones, the former Bleacher Report journalist, Chelsea could begin negotiations in the coming weeks in an attempt to sign Declan Rice.

The journalist also reported that signing Rice is Todd Boehly’s priority this season, as he looks forward to helping Tuchel rebuild his squad.

The American businessman, Todd Boehly, the new Chelsea owner, has a net worth of £3.6 billion ($4.5bn) (Goal).

The Englishman is reportedly more than willing to join the Blues despite his silence concerning his future.

Rice is currently on vacation, and moving away from West Ham is the least of his worries. However, he desires to play in the Champions League.

West Ham seem unmoved by his contract situation, even though he has declined several offers from them.

The Hammers would love him to stay but could allow him to depart next year if he fails to renew his contract.

Right now, it would take a huge offer to tempt him away from the club. If Chelsea is serious about signing him, they must pay the Hammers’ stated asking price, easily over £120–130 million.
