According to an article by West Ham insider Sean Whetstone on 6foot2, David Moyes had a heated exchange with Declan Rice and Kevin Nolan after the West Ham defeat to Brighton.

The shocking 4-0 loss over the weekend was acknowledged by Moyes as the worst performance and outcome since his return to West Ham in 2020. This has led to renewed speculation about the manager’s future.

Despite the criticism, majority stakeholder David Sullivan stated that he and the board are still supporting Moyes, while also expressing disappointment with the team’s performance.

The traveling fans also expressed their dissatisfaction with Moyes for the first time, prompting the manager to climb from the dugout and confront them during the game.

There were also reports of fans being unhappy with captain Rice, although some of the comments were misunderstood.

A recent report alleges that Moyes had a heated argument with Rice and Nolan after the match, and the manager was seen having a conversation with his captain and assistant coach that appeared to be heated.

“David Moyes is said to have been distracted looking at the away crowd instead of the game before briefly shaking his head before turning back to the game according to one eye witness at the game against Brighton,” 6foot2 reports.

“It is also claimed that both Kevin Nolan and Declan Rice had heated words with the manager after the final whistle but no-one seems to know what was said.”

TV cameras captured footage of David Moyes immediately heading down the tunnel after shaking hands with Brighton assistant Andrea Maldera at the end of the match.

It is uncertain whether the report of Moyes’ heated exchange with Declan Rice and Kevin Nolan occurred in the tunnel or took place out of view after the disappointing defeat.
