Sceptics are all over Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s back for what they term his weird fashion sense, especially after he donned a rather interesting look in which he paired an upper “manly” look with flared shorts, white socks, and black loafers.

The 24-year old isn’t the least bit sorry about how he looks and stressed the fact that he’d keep doing what he does and being what he is, something he has learnt from football. “I do what I do and I am what I am…So I will continue to do that…football has taught me that,”Dominic stated.

Former Everton left back Michael Ball lauded Calvert-Lewin for having the courage to express himself via an unstereotypical outlook, which shows happiness and self-acceptance. “…I think it is great that we’ve got a guy who is comfortable in his own skin…It shows that Dominic has his own identity and is happy at the club,”Ball concluded.

According to Ball, Dominic’s boldness doesn’t just show the striker’s stand. It demonstrates the club’s stance on fashion, as they (Everton) allowed their star to appear in a non-football magazine wearing whatever he feels comfortable in.This is unlike Ball’s days with the Toffees, where formal suits were a must.

Calvert-Lewin, who doesn’t shy away from showing his preferred fashion on social media (Gucci bags and all), is expected to make a return soon after almost three months out due to surgery.
