Reports have revealed that Conor Hazard, the Celtic goalkeeper, is seeking a new club after being unable to impress Ange Postecoglu since returning from a successful loan.
The 24-year-old Northern Ireland international had an excellent loan stint last year with HJK Helsinki, where he won the Finnish league, was goalkeeper of the year, and excelled in the Europa League.
However, he is currently way down in the keeper hierarchy at Celtic, behind Joe Hart, Scott Bain, and new arrival Benjamin Siegrist, which puts his future at the club in jeopardy.
Although Hazard has a contract with the Glasgow giants until 2024, it is believed that the club will allow him to go on loan again next season or perhaps seek a permanent move.
It was unexpected that he did not go on loan again in January after his successful Helsinki move last year.
Although Hazard had hoped his exceptional performances in top-level European competition for HJK Helsinki would impress Postecoglu, the manager has remained loyal to Hart and Bain, and the Northern Irishman has not made the bench since his return.
Unless one of the senior keepers suffers an injury before the end of the season, the situation is unlikely to change.
Hazard has not added to his eight senior Celtic appearances since Postecoglu became the manager in 2021, despite having four full Northern Ireland caps.
