The Hoops are eyeing Legia Warsaw’s Josip Juranovic and have reportedly made an offer.
Ange Postecoglou’s team has been keeping a close eye on the Croatian right-back in recent months, as well as other defensive players.
Yan Couto, Aurelio Buta, and George Baldock have all been mentioned as possible targets, but according to Herald and Times Sport, the Hoops have settled on Juranovic.
Their initial offer of roughly £2 million was also turned down by the Polish business, according sources.
Sources in Poland, however, believe that a deal may still be reached and that Celtic will return to the table with a better offer.
Juranovic is eager to move to Celtic Park and is considered as a fantastic fit as a player who is equally adept at defending and attacking.
Anthony Ralston is Celtic’s only known right-back, and while he has impressed so far this season, the club wants cover in that position.
Their target has established himself as Croatia’s 1st choice full-back on the right flank, and he represented his country at Euro 2020, where his side defeated Scotland 3-1 at Hampden.
