Alexandro Bernabei, a left back, has arrived in Glasgow after completing his move from Lanus. According to The Herald, Celtic will announce his signing today.

According to the report, he arrived in the country yesterday and will sign for £3.75 million over the course of five years.

The Herald also says that Celtic’s Jota will return to the city this weekend to get ready for preseason training to start the following week. This means that the club could easily spend more than £10 million over the next few days.

Celtic and Benfica have already agreed on a transfer fee of £6.4 million, and Jota will finish the deal while on vacation in the next few days.

Including the club’s guaranteed fee of £6m plus add-ons for Cameron Carter-Vickers’ permanent transfer, this transfer window has already cost a lot of money.

Under Ange Postecoglou, there are likely to be even more moves, with midfielders and central defenders still being linked to Glasgow.

Another goalkeeper, Ben Siegrist, has been signed as a free agent to compete with Joe Hart.

Fans are overjoyed because the club finally seems to have its act together during the summer transfer window.

Postecoglou seems to have the club united behind his plans and objectives for the upcoming season, which is a welcome change after the mayhem of last year.

This is exactly the kind of investment and backing for the manager that fans of Celtic had hoped to see from the club’s ownership.

A strong core group of players gives Postecoglou a solid foundation to build upon as the team heads to Austria for preseason training in early July.

And if more quality is required, there is still time to implement it before the end of August.
