Football Podcast reports that Celtic are expected to sign Republic of Ireland Under-21 midfielder Bosun Lawal from Watford today, according to the Floodlights (via The Scottish Sun).
The 18-year-old is expected to sign a three-year deal with Parkhead after passing a medical.
Following the completion of the move, Lawal might be thrust into action in a pre-season friendly between a Celtic XI and Chelsea’s under-23 side, and he is anticipated to join the Hoops B-team.
In May, the player was named Watford Academy Player of the Season, and Hornets icon Troy Deeney praised him.
Celtic will need to bring in top notch players this summer if they are to challenge Rangers to the Premiership trophy next campaign, and boss Ange Postecoglou may be willing to look at the young talents ahead of the new campaign.
