Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has welcomed back two midfielders ahead of his side’s home meeting with Hearts.

The third-placed Edinburgh side are still chasing the championship favourites thanks to Robbie Neilson’s Tynecastle formula.

Postecoglou, on the other hand, will have Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic back in his engine room after recent layoffs.

Bitton has made significant progress at the heart of the midfield this campaign, but he was hurt in the Europa League last week against Bayer Leverkusen and missed the 2-1 victory over Aberdeen.

Rogic, on the other hand, has been rejuvenated under his former Australia manager, but he has been sidelined for the last few weeks due to injury.

However, there are still worries about Carl Starfelt and Greg Taylor who were both seen training this week after lengthy layoffs and are expected to return shortly after.

Christopher Jullien is still a long way from being fit to play, with Postecoglou acknowledging that a timetable for his recovery has yet to be established.

Beni Baningime is out for Hearts, but Taylor Moore is back after serving a one-match suspension.
