Celtic to miss main man over the course of Asian World Cup qualifiers

The Asian world Cup qualifiers pose a threat to Celtic as they continue over January and February.

This means that the Hoops will have to do without the services of key striker Kyogo Furuhashi for two key matches after the winter break.

Aziz Behich’s own goal in the 86^th minute saw Japan steal a narrow 2-1 win against Australia on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old came from the bench and played a key role in ensuring that Japan walked away with all three points from the match. Many fans however wondered why Kyogo and icon Keisuke Honda did not start the match.

Kyogo will travel back to Glasgow to link up with his team mates  for the trip to Morthewell this weekend.

Japan have two massive qualifiers coming up in the new year, playing China at home on January 27^th and Saudi Arabia on February 1^st.

This means that he will miss two big games for Celtic as he is not likely to miss a call up to the national squad

Meanwhile, Ange Postecoglou’s side faces Hearts at Tynecastle on January 26^th after the winter break and three days later they face Dundee United at home.

Japan’s last World Cup qualifier is against Vietnam on March 29^th, while the last derby of the season against Rangers is on April 2^nd. This means that the Hoops might miss his services on that one too.
