Celtic are close to completing the acquisition of Sligo Rovers attacker Johnny Kenny in a deal that appears to be a steal.
Kenny is set to sign for Celtic in the coming days, according to the Irish Independent.
Celtic have agreed to pay €150,000 (£125,000) for Kenny, beating Hibernian to his signature.
According to the Scottish Sun, Kenny was a VIP at Hibernian’s match against Dundee in December as they attempted to finalize a deal.
The Hoops have already jumped in and will win the contest to get Kenny to Scotland.
Kenny is expected to become the club’s fourth addition this month, and he is more focused on the future than the Japanese trio.
Kenny is only 18 years old, yet he has already played 34 senior matches for Sligo Rovers, scoring 12 goals.
Kenny, who has a bright future ahead of him, has decided to join Celtic in their latest onslaught on Irish football.
