Joe Worrall will not be offered a new contract by Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper.
Players on long term deals are not in line for discussions according to Cooper.
Hugh and Claret are of the opinion that West Ham are the frontrunners to sign the center back, who is 24.
Cooper told Nottinghamshire Live, “There are other boys on longer-term contracts as well, who are not up for discussion at the moment because they are only a year or so into them – Joe Worrall and Scott McKenna etc.”
In the summer, Everton desperately needs to sign a defender or two, depending on which players exit the club.
When it comes to defense, Michael Keane’s performances have been appalling to put it mildly.
It’s possible that Yerry Mina will be out of contract in the summer because he’s had so many injuries this season.
The 24-year-old defender could be the ideal fit for Frank Lampard.
It’s possible he’ll pair Worrall and Ben Godfrey as his preferred center backs for the time being.
We can only hope that Everton do everything they can to sign the center-back before West Ham do.
