Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has admitted that the club would love to permanently sign on-loan midfielder Conor Gallagher from Chelsea.
Gallagher has been playing a key role for Crystal Palace in the ongoing season, making 36 appearances and going on to score eight times in all competitions for the club this campaign; ” Callagher will make a choice. He has been fantastic as an individual and player at the club,” Parish said on Tuesday at the club’s End of Season Awards ceremony.
Gallagher has been voted the club’s Player of the Month twice and Goal of the Month once. He also won the Young Player of the Year at the 2022 London Football Awards.
His commendable performance in Patrick Vieira’s team saw a third of the supporters vote him as Player of the 2021/2022 Season.
Gallagher was presented his hong by Manager Vieira at the club’s End of Season Awards night at Boxpark Croydon.
Speaking at the event, Gallagher said;
“Its massive. Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, I can’t thank the fans enough. You’ve been brilliant from the first day and I’ve loved every minute of playing for Crystal Palace.
“I want to thank the players and the staff as well, because they’ve been unreal. I really appreciate it, so thank you so much.
“There have been a few highlights, it’s hard to pick one. But Manchester City, that win there and scoring was an amazing feeling.”
It is, however, not clear whether Chelsea will want him back at Stamford Bridge at the expiry of his loan spell at Crystal Palace or not.
