Moyes believe massive deal is paying off

Hans Vanaken, who is reportedly a transfer target for West Ham United, has received an update from Dharmesh Sheth.

The Sky Sports journalist recently wrote on Twitter that West Ham and the Jupiler Pro League team are still in negotiations over a deal, despite reports that Club Brugge KV had rejected David Moyes’ initial €10 million (£8.5 million) bid for the attacking midfielder. The 29-year-old is thought to be very open to moving to east London this summer.

Sheth said: “Ongoing talks over Club Brugge midfielder Hans Vanaken.”

Vanaken has established himself as a deadly forward-thinking midfielder during his time at Brugge, so the idea of the 29-year-old pairing with Jarrod Bowen in the Hammers’ attacking foursome next season is going to be extremely alluring for both Moyes and the London Stadium faithful.

The £14.4m-rated prodigy was in incredible form over the course of his 39 Jupiler Pro League games last season, scoring 11 goals, dishing out nine assists, and setting up 10 huge chances for his teammates. He also averaged 1.8 shots, 1.6 critical passes, and 0.6 dribbles per game.

With these results, the “exceptional” midfielder making £48k per week averaged an astounding 7.31 SofaScore match rating, placing him seventh in the premier division of Belgian football the previous time out.

Therefore, the thought of this pair partnering up behind either Gianluca Scamacca or Michail Antonio in the Hammers’ attacking four the following season is sure to inspire fear into Premier League defenses nationwide.

As a result, we think the Irons should do everything in their power to persuade Brugge to part with Vanaken this summer because an incredible partnership could be on the horizon.
