According to Fotospor, Fenerbahce are interested in signing Rangers left-back Ridvan Yilmaz, but they have a condition before they make an offer.
They want to sort out the situation with Sassuolo defender Mert Mulder first, who is their top target. Mulder is a versatile player who can play on both flanks.
Yilmaz joined Rangers for £3.4million in July 2022, per Sky Sports, but he struggled to impress in his debut season at Ibrox.
He was not expected to be a regular starter, but he failed to challenge Borna Barisic for the left-back spot.
However, he improved towards the end of the season and Rangers should not let him go this summer.
Barisic may have been a Player of the Season nominee, but he was not consistent enough and Yilmaz could soon take his place if he continues to develop.
Rangers should trust Yilmaz and give him more opportunities next season, if that is what he needs.
Michael Beale, one of the coaches at Rangers, praised Yilmaz last season, so he clearly sees his potential and hopefully, he will show it more next season.
