Everton have reportedly agreed to appoint Lee Sargeson in a senior recruitment role, according to Football Insider.
Sargeson is moving from Brighton to become the manager of scouting operations for Everton, with the aim of improving their transfer setup.
Although the appointment has not been officially announced, it is said to be fully agreed upon by both Sargeson and the club.
Sargeson will join a team at Goodison led by Kevin Thelwell, who was appointed as the director of football in February of last year.
His arrival at Everton comes during a time of change, with the recent appointment of Sean Dyche as the new manager and ongoing discussions regarding a sale or partial sell-off.
The appointment also follows a difficult January transfer window in which Everton missed out on multiple top attacking targets.
Sargeson has a strong background in recruitment, with previous stints at Brighton, Aston Villa, and Bolton Wanderers.
His departure from Brighton continues the trend of staff members leaving the club, following the departure of seven staff members to join Chelsea at the end of last year.
