When Gabriel Barbosa went to Inter Milan and SL Benfica, he never felt like he had found a home.
When he moved to Flamengo, the Brazilian striker returned to Rio de Janeiro, where he recovered his confidence as he began to live up to his nickname “Gabigol.” Barbosa has netted 70 goals for Flamengo in 99 games.
Reports have stated that given Barbosa’s current form in South America, European clubs such as Everton FC are interested in the 24-year-old.
According to The Mirror, Everton is interested in bringing in the Brazilian attacker. Everton could be seeking to bring in more Brazilian flair to their team if Richarlison continues his solid play.
Flamengo is looking for a fee of £40 million, so we’ll see whether Everton agrees to pay that price.
