According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United will “100%” recruit a new striker in the summer, with internal talks taking place over Everton’s Richarlison.
Regardless of whether the Toffees stay in the Premier League or get relegated, Richarlison, 24, has been linked with a transfer away from Goodison Park this summer.
Man United are reportedly interested in Richarlison, according to Caught Offside, amid speculation that Cristiano Ronaldo may move in the summer, while Dean Jones told GiveMeSport that the Brazilian is “nearly a dead cert to go next season.”
With Man United set to hire Erik ten Hag as their manager after a verbal agreement, it looks like they’ll be getting a new striker. Richarlison is the frontrunner.
“Erik ten Hag knows how important it is to decide who is the perfect striker for Manchester United as soon as possible,” said Romano on his YouTube channel on 20 April.
“You cannot decide on it in June or July or in August. You need to make a decision in May and to start conversations as soon as possible.
“For example, Darwin Nunez [and] Richarlison are players Manchester United have already discussed internally.
“But the perfect striker will be discussed with Erik ten Hag before jumping into any decision because Manchester United will 100 per cent sign a new striker in the summer no matter what happens with Cristiano Ronaldo.”
