Rangers player rages on social media over unseen incident during Rangers clash with Livingston

Todd Cantwell expresses his frustration on social media regarding an undisclosed incident that took place during the Rangers versus Livingston match.
Cantwell, who entered the field and promptly received a yellow card for a foul and push on James Penrice, shared images suggesting Penrice kicked out at him.
Despite Rangers securing a victory with goals from Cyriel Dessers and James Tavernier, the game was overshadowed by controversial refereeing and VAR decisions.
Sharing screenshots on his Instagram story (12 November) Cantwell wrote: “Didn’t get checked. For context, I get booked here not even looked at.
“If I didn’t pull my leg away we wouldn’t be most worried about it not being looked at.”
Initially, it seemed like Cantwell had succumbed to the intensity of the game, a behavior that Rangers supporters have grown accustomed to from their midfielder.
Several pundits and journalists labeled the 25-year-old as "petulant." However, the angles shared by Cantwell on his Instagram story reveal that Penrice deliberately attempted to kick him, making significant contact with Cantwell's left shin in an unsightly manner.
A more composed player might not have been provoked by such a kick.
To elevate his game, Cantwell must learn to manage his emotions better, as his reaction to the incident led to an entirely unnecessary booking.
Amidst a day marked by subpar refereeing and VAR choices, this incident adds to the list of oversights by officials in Sunday's match. If Cantwell can uncover these angles, there's no justification for VAR officials not being able to do the same.
In the interest of player safety, action should be taken against Penrice, even if done retrospectively, as his actions could have posed a serious threat to Cantwell, genuinely endangering his opponent. It appears perplexing that Cantwell was the one booked in this particular incident.
