AC Milan's Christian Pulisic and Juventus' Timothy Weah won't be part of the United States team for the upcoming CONCACAF Nations League qualifiers against Trinidad and Tobago.
Gregg Berhalter, the USA coach, announced his 24-player squad for the matches against the Caribbean team, with the absence of these two wingers being particularly noticeable.
A spokesperson from the US Soccer Federation confirmed that both players are sidelined due to injuries.
Pulisic had to be replaced during added time in AC Milan's 2-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday due to a leg muscle injury.
Weah has been out of action since he experienced a hamstring injury while playing for Juventus against Verona in Serie A last month.
Furthermore, Berhalter continues to miss another vital starting player, as central midfielder Tyler Adams has been ruled out until February following a setback in his attempt to recover from a long-term injury suffered back in September.
The USA is scheduled to play against Trinidad and Tobago in Austin, Texas, on November 16, followed by a second match against the same opponents in Port of Spain four days later.
