Manuel Locatelli penned a new contract with Juventus on Thursday, securing his ties with the Serie A club until June 2028.
Juventus didn't disclose specific details about the extended contract, but according to Italian media reports, the Italy midfielder Locatelli is set to earn approximately 3.3 million euros ($3.5 million) per season under the terms of his new deal.
The 25-year-old initially joined on loan from Sassuolo in 2021 after triumphing in the European Championship with Italy, and he has since solidified his position within Massimiliano Allegri's squad.
Locatelli has accumulated over 100 appearances for Juve, scoring four goals from his role in the deep-lying midfield.
In a significant moment last month, he scored the deciding goal against his childhood club AC Milan at the San Siro, coincidentally seven years after netting the winning goal for Milan against Juve in the same stadium.
Currently, Juve holds the second spot in Serie A, trailing leaders Inter Milan by two points ahead of their upcoming home match against Cagliari on Saturday.
